frothy basil lemonade

Summer’s classic beverage gets an added burst of fresh flavor from a classic herb. To create the thick slushy froth pictured, use a high-powered blender.

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
1 1/2 lemons, peeled, halved
1/4 cup sugar
3 cups of water
1 cup of ice

Place all the ingredients in high-powdered blender. Run for 60 seconds or until smooth.

yield: 3 cups
