cocoa nibs

On a recent trip to Costa Rica I discovered cocoa nibs on a sustainable organic spice farm tour. Cocoa nibs are the whole foods version of chocolate. They are very high in antioxidants and packed with powerful nutrients. Cocoa nibs are bits of roasted cocoa beans that can taste bitter when eaten raw so I was thrilled when I recently discovered cocoa nibs dipped in dark chocolate in my local grocery store!  I keep a tin in my purse at all times for whenever I need a little chocolate fix and want a dose of antioxidants.

*Raw cacao is the top antioxidant bearing food.  It has double the amount of antioxidants of red wine and triple the amount of green tea leaves. It reduces the risk of heart disease and cancer.

You can order this product from my website.  You will find them under “favorite foodie finds” – located at the top of this website.  They are only sold in packs of 12, but if you become addicted (like me) then ordering 12 at a time will not be a problem.
